Job description
We are looking for an experienced Science and STEAM Teacher to join our Middle School team working with Grades 5-8 at ACS Hillingdon International School.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience required for this position:
Educated to Bachelors degree or international equivalent as a minimum in the relevant subject
A teaching qualification
Experience
teaching Science and STEAM to Middle School students
Understand and be able to design, develop, assess, and manage project-based STEAM learning experiences
Demonstrate the ability to model, deliver, and craft rich student-centred learning experiences around integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math
Ability to establish a knowledge-rich, student-centred learning environment through inquiry-based instruction
A passion for curriculum and assessment design
Experience with inquiry-based curriculum models of instruction will be a distinct advantage
Work collaboratively
Use effective practices in teaching and learning
Actively promote international-mindedness
Establish high and attainable learning expectations that are clear to all
Support, inspire and challenge students to become effective learners, confident individuals and caring contributors.
Strong IT skills
Experience of/willingness to integrate technology to improve teaching and learning
Demonstrable positive and tolerant outlook, enthusiasm for teaching and good understanding of behaviours of the relevant age group
Fluent in both verbal and written English
Experience of teaching in an international school is preferred
Commitment to excellence in education
