Project Manager-Admissions/School Fees System
Job description
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Marketing team for a Project Manager to implement an Admissions/School Fees System- This is an initial 6 month contract starting immediately.
The Admissions/School Fees System Implementation Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of the new Admissions and School Fees System,
and the migration from the current Admissions and School Fees systems across the ACS group. The individual filling this role will be capable of leading a complex project to agreed timescales using effective project management, resource deployment and budgetary controls and delivering a step change in the customer experience across both systems..
Project goals include achievement of an integrated and streamlined admissions process, improving the customer experience and bringing it in line with the expectations of a premium service provider, reducing the time and workload associated with enrolling new students and automating the process of re-enrolling existing students. The project should deliver efficiency gains, cost savings and an enhanced user experience for parents, admissions and marketing staff.
To utilise robust project management methodology, to maximise deliverables to agreed timescales. To ensure that Stakeholder management is to a high standard to further assist in the positive implementation and communication to the successful outcome of this project.
You must have:
Relevant University Degree, recognized Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2, Agile, Scrum Master) and several years experience in a similar role with a proven track record, which demonstrates that the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the necessary knowledge and abilities
Management of a major system migration and implementation
General knowledge of methods and problems with computer systems, and excellent skills of systems administration
General knowledge of safety measures and hazards
Experience using project management tools is essential
Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming database and system design would be an advantage
Ideally experience with Apple Macintosh environments
Experience with Windows and iOS based environments would be an advantage
Ideally has knowledge of school admissions systems and/or school fees systems
Personal Attributes:
Ability to lead in multi site and stakeholder environment which can create challenges, and be able to keep the project on track and purpose
Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder management and with a customer service orientation
Self starter who is able to quickly pick up the project and drive it forward
Lead by example
Ability to motivate, persuade and influence
Identifies opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
Team player with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Good planning and prioritisation/organisational skills essential
Work positively and professionally with faculty, staff, parents and students across multiple sites, building relationships with individuals and stakeholders
Highly committed with an energetic positive 'can do' attitude
Willingness to positively explore, embrace and be trained in new technologies
Ability to adapt within a dynamic and ever-changing IT environment with peak-time work cycles and the challenges associated with conflicting demands
Ability to combine strong strategic thinking and detailed planning with speedy implementation, specifically managing the transition from plans to implementation
Seeks to be innovative and continually improve
Willingness to work flexible hours
This is a full time, permanent position based at ACS Cobham with travel to our other campuses
