Job description
We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join the team on a full time basis based at Cobham
This position is assisting with the day to day running of the Catering operations at ACS Cobham International School. The Chef De Partie will assist in the preparation of all lunches and extra catering services. A particular focus is to be placed on creating fresh, nutritionally
balanced Food in a safe environment. Having a keen commercial awareness is a must, as there are strict budgetary targets to adhere to. we are looking for someone with creativeness in preparing various dishes. Preparation of a wide variety of menu items producing 1500+ meals per day; catering for students aged from 6 to 18.
Professional Expertise
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a chef in a similar high volume institutional catering establishment. Fine dining & event hospitality experience preferred.
Scope of Job:
Due to the location of this role, it is essential you are able to travel to the campus in Cobham without the use public transfer.
Term Time role - 45 hours per week on a shift rota system at:
6:30-15:30 2 weeks
7:00-16:00 1 week
10:30-19:30 1 week
Education & Experience:
NVQ Level 2 - or equivalent is essential and must be achieved within 2nd year of appointment
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate essential
Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred
Familiar with the principles of HACCP
Personal Qualities:
Outgoing friendly personality essential must be a team player with a 'can do' attitude
Good organisational skills and a confident approach to team leading and motivation
Effective communication with all levels of colleagues is a must and a good standard of English required
Working Environment:
Based at Cobham with occasional travel to other campuses. Working 5 out of 7 days including some evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
