Job description
I am excited to confirm that we have growth in the recruitment team which means we are now recruiting for a Recruitment Administrator to be based at the ACS Cobham campus.
To provide recruitment/HR administration support to the recruitment team, all UK managers, applicants/candidates and staff, in a timely, efficient, confidential, compliant and customer-focused
manner. Looks for opportunities to recommend improved administration processes to the Recruitment & Talent Officer.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides assistance to ensure the smooth running and effectiveness of recruitment including advertising roles on the ACS careers page, social media and other jobboards.
Provides advice and assistance in all recruitment when required.
Attends recruitment fairs as necessary and acts as ambassador in encouraging applicants to work for ACS.
Assists in the induction of new staff, completing all necessary paperwork and processes to ensure a smooth transition into the Schools or Business Support Functions
Ensure the accurate and timely updating of the HR information system and the Single Central Register, during and after recruitment.
Ensures that during the recruitment process candidates are made aware of all security clearance checks including; Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks, international overseas police checks, reference checks and documentation required to work at ACS.
Prepares and briefs candidates and the HR Admin teams about 'right to work in the UK' and Tier 2 immigration visa requirements.
Produces regular and timely reports, e.g. recruitment status reports, candidate information.
Working with the wider HR team, and as directed by the Talent & Recruitment Officer, provides occasional support for the HR Admin teams.
Deals with ad hoc enquiries from candidates, managers and staff effectively and efficiently using the most appropriate communication method.
Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Talent & Recruitment Officer.
Ensures internal compliance with all HR policies and procedures and proactively advises where this might not be the case.
Ensures company compliance with all employment law legislative requirements (e.g. 'right to work in the UK', DBS checks, Data Protection, ISI data and inspections, etc.).
Plans and organises workload, ensuring prioritisation of key activities and deliverables as agreed with Talent & Recruitment Officer.
Supports HR colleagues as required during absences, holidays or workload peaks.
Looks for opportunities to continually improve HR/Recruitment practises and administration and presents appropriate suggestions/solutions to the Talent & Recruitment Officer.
Keeps abreast of changes in employment legislation and practises.
Actively participates in HR events and team meetings.
Must haves:
Team player with excellent customer service skills and helpful approach.
High accuracy and good planning and organisational skills are essential.
Computer literate with ability to use MAC/Windows packages and HR database systems.
Good Excel skills
Respects and adheres to confidentiality and data protection.
Proactive approach in identifying improvements and efficiencies in HR processes and paperwork.
Looks for opportunities to develop level of expertise and capability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sound administration knowledge, skills and experience.
A systematic and organized approach to work.
Able to work autonomously when required but also collaboratively across the HR Team.
Professional Expertise:
Must have experience of working in an administration role and/or support function in a multi-functional, customer-focused environment. Previous experience working in a busy HR team is desirable.
Ideally knowledge/experience of UK Border Agency requirements
Good awareness of employment law is desirable.
Experience of recruitment, interviewing, induction, is desirable.
