Job description
I am excited to confirm that we have some new roles due to growth within the recruitment team - we are now looking for a Recruitment Advisor to join the recruitment and wider HR team be based at the ACS Cobham campus.
To provide advice on recruitment policies, procedures and regulations, and play a leading role in recruitment campaigns, to enable the Head of
School/Function,
Principals, Heads of Department and Line Managers
to recruit staff effectively.
Key responsibilities
Provide advice and support to School/Business Support managers and staff on recruitment.
Advise the School/Business Support managers on recruitment activities, campaigns, legal requirements and best practice methods for effective recruitment.
Advertise roles on careers page, job boards and social networks including Linkedin
Sourcing suitable candidates for a variety of roles from a variety of sources
Screening candidates and conducting initial telephone interviews as well as face to face interviews
Negotiating offers - subject to the direction of the Recruitment & Talent Officer and ACS policies.
Advise the School/Business Support managers about compliance, pre-employment checks, immigration regulations and requirements.
Support induction/on-boarding of new staff, including appropriate support to those staff recruited from overseas.
Work closely with the HR Administrators to ensure legally compliant and up-to-date information is held on the HR Information System, Single Central Register and staff files and enable them to provide correct information as required.
From time to time attend School/Business Support Leadership Team meetings and contribute to the annual recruitment plans as and when required.
Build and maintain strong relationships between the School/Business Support and the wider HR department, facilitating an effective route of communications.
Participate in HR team meetings ensuring recruitment issues, needs and solutions are shared across the HR team thus maximising efficiency of operation and cost effectiveness of resources.
Keep up to date with external influences and best practice, impending legislation, policy changes or HR trends.
Undertake project management activities as required.
Look for opportunities to improve recruitment practices guided by the Recruitment & Talent Officer
Must haves:
Strong relationships will need to be built with key stakeholders in the School and Business Support functions, and the wider HR team.
Identify and prioritise the key issues and work collaboratively with Line Managers.
Sound recruitment and HR Knowledge, skills and experience.
Effective planning, organisational and project management skills coupled with a systematic approach to work.
Able to see the 'bigger picture' but also be capable of high accuracy and detail in tracking, systems and planning.
Able to work autonomously when required and also collaboratively across ACS and with the wider HR team.
Credible, professional, quickly able to demonstrate value and possess excellent customer service skills.
Must have strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to influence and manage a diverse range of stakeholders.
Be able to demonstrate effective facilitation, communication skills and be an effective change agent.
Able to manage and prioritise a busy workload
Able to demonstrate a genuine passion for recruitment
Self motivated, driven and confident
Professional Expertise:
Proven work experience as an internal recruiter, recruiter or a similar role
Experience of working in recruitment ideally gained in a customer-facing, professional services or education environment.
Experience in advertising, researching, reviewing CVs and applications, interviewing and offer procedures.
Solid understanding/experience of the full 360 degree recruitment cycle including conducting competency based interviews
Familiarity with ATS
Must have a good understanding of employment law.
This is a full time, permanent position based at ACS Cobham with travel to our other campuses
