Lower School Receptionist
Job description
ACS International Schools have an opportunity for an experienced Receptionist to join the team at our campus in Cobham.
Overall Purpose of the role:
Maintain the everyday running of the Lower School Divisional Office.
Reception duties both in person and over the telephone an email.
Update Principal/Assistant Principal calendars and the Lower School calendar
and make appointments with parents as necessary.
Monitor and update attendance and absentee list.
Maintain official attendance records and produce Attendance Warning Letters for parents from the Principal as necessary.
Contact parents daily regarding unexcused absences and maintain student absence notes file.
Work with Transport Manager to arrange field trip buses.
Act as a Fire Warden and First Aider for the Lower School staff.
Process monies relating to petty cash for Lower School staff.
Process invoices to finance department via Focal Point and deposit any incoming.
When needed assist with the after-school club information/activities, hold Risk Assessments for field trips, visitors and other events, provide immediate First Aid support and advice relying on nurse, assist with welcoming new parents and students.
Contribute information to Lower School calendar on outlook.
At the end of the school year assist with teacher checkout procedures, collect required materials, student records, lesson plans and classroom keys
Knowledge and skills:
Previous secretarial work experience.
Enjoys working with children, computer literate in working with different systems (Microsoft Office).
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, positive 'can do 'attitude, works well under pressure, organized, flexible, supportive, approachable and hardworking.
This is a full-time position, term time only working Monday to Friday.
