Job description
We currently have an opportunity for a Chef de Partie in our Catering team based at our Cobham campus. This is a permanent and full time role working 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 for 42 weeks per year.
The purpose of the role is to accurately process all supplier invoices and ensure payment is in accordance with the supplier payment terms.
Key Responsibilities
This
is a responsible position assisting with the day to day running of the Catering operations at ACS Cobham International School. The Chef de Partie will assist in the preparation of all lunches and extra catering services. A particular focus is to be placed on creating fresh, nutritionally balanced food in a safe environment. Having a keen commercial awareness is a must, as there are strict budgetary targets to adhere to.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* NVQ Level 2 - or equivalent is essential and must be achieved within 2nd year of appointment
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate essential
* Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred
* Familiar with the principles of HACCP
* Must have a minimum of 2 year's experience as a chef in a similar high volume institutional catering establishment. Fine dining & event hospitality experience preferred.
Personal Qualities
Outgoing friendly personality essential, must be a team player with a 'can do' attitude.
Good organisational skills and a confident approach to team leading and motivation.
Effective communication with all levels of colleagues is a must.
